All Alabama Duck Hunters: The early for Teal and Canada Goose season opens on Saturday, September 4 with Goose season closing on September 15 and the Teal season ending four days later on September 19.  The early season bag limits are four teal and five geese per day.    Now Hear This, Now Hear This:  The 31st of January is the season closing day again this year. The dates are set, and Alabama waterfowlers will start the regular Duck Season on December 11 and go until December 24 (with a one day split),  and start back up on December 26 and run until January 31.   This will give Alabama waterfowlers a 51-day Duck Season.  Alabama Youth waterfowlers will get their special day on February 5.   Alabama Goose hunters will have four split seasons with certain areas of North Alabama in the James Bay Population zone benefitting from the fourth (and the only January) season.  The dates are October 2-17, December 11-24, and December 26-31.  The January dates for the Northern Counties in the James Bay Population Zone (parts of Madison, Limestone, and Morgan) are December 28 - January 31.
