Personalized band promotion

For a minimum of a $600 donation you can receive 100 four-week-old Frost Waterfowl Trust Mallards that will have your personalized band. These ducks will be released on a site of your choosing or these ducks can be placed on public hunting areas or public land that meets habitat criteria. During the waterfowl season if anyone takes one of the banded ducks and reports on www.bandreturns.com instructions will explain this promotion. Bandreturns.com is a service sponsored by Frost Waterfowl Trust for conservation organizations such as; Alabama Waterfowl Association. This is a way devised by Frost that AWA can connect a hunter with the banding organization for research information and marketing purposes. We can also use this as a tool to connect you with your customers.

You may also want to advertise this program in your general ads. AWA will also be doing PSA's and other notices of this program. As an example of possible incentives the instructions could explain that if hunter brings this band by your store, that he will receive, (you may want to choose a 10%. 15% or 25% discount on a purchase of his or your choosing). Also, his name could be placed in a drawing with others that report a Big Daddy band, and will have a chance to win a prize in a drawing two weeks after duck season closes.

You may also like to place a donation jar that asks for donations for next years release, which promos this prize winning and mallard restoration program. This would an excellent marketing opportunity, that also directly increases the hunting and bird watching opportunity in our area. Also, this creates an incentive for the landowners, farmers, and people wanting to duck hunt to develop more waterfowl habitat.
